How I Work
How I Work
I believe that the core of psychotherapy is deep, reflective listening with a safe and trusted therapist. People are complex, and the things that bring people to therapy reflect that complexity. Working together, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, identify what’s important for you, and work together towards a life that’s in alignment with your values.
Working with me, you can expect to receive curiosity, compassion, and accountability while also encouraging the development of skills (such as mindfulness, self-inquiry, acceptance, skills to manage strong emotions, and relationship skills) to effectively manage life’s challenges while working towards a life that’s meaningful for you.
Below are some therapy modalities that I might use in our work together:
-Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
-Functional Analytical Psychotherapy (FAP)
-Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
-Schema Therapy
-Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-Exposure Therapy
I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Holy Names University in Oakland, California and my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. I've been working in the mental health field for over 10 years.
Outside of therapy, I manage Bay Area Trauma Recovery Clinical Services (BATRCS), a low-fee, non-profit therapy clinic that specializes in the treatment of trauma. I'm truly passionate about maintaining accessibility to affordable trauma therapy and I'm proud to contribute my time to a clinic that aligns with my values.
When not at work, I'm usually spending my time reading, making music, and trying (and failing) to cook up some new recipes.

Fees
Fees
Individual Therapy: $170 per 50-minute session
Couples Therapy: $250 per 50-minute session
I understand that the fees listed above may not be suitable for many, so I offer low-fee spots for some clients on my caseload who are unable to afford my standard fee through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective.
I currently am not affiliated with any insurance providers but I'm happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your provider for possible reimbursement. I would suggest contacting your insurance provider and asking the following questions to determine coverage:
-Does my insurance plan include mental health coverage?
-What are my out-of-network benefits?
-Do I have a deductible? If so, have I met it yet and what is the remaining amount?
-Does my insurance plan have any limits on the number of sessions I can receive?
-Do I need written approval from my primary care provider for services to be covered?
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your health care will cost. Under law, medical and mental health providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
